Abstract

This study examined perception of worker’s on wages and salary on employee’s productivity in Chronicle Food Concept Ilorin Metropolis.  The basis behind the study is to find out whether wages, salary and employee perception (high & Low wages) can influenceworker’s productivity. Expectancy theory was reviewed in this study. The methodology employed for this study is quantitative (probit); non- probability sampling technique was employed for the study population (20)primary data were collected through questionnaire administration to the respondent using purposive sampling. The analysis was conducted using regression, spssversion, 23 were tools employed to analyze the data, however, findings reveal that wages and salary influence worker’sproductivity in service industry in Ilorin metropolis. therefore, the study concluded that there should be an increase in wages and salary to enhancedperformance and change worker’s perception of low wages to high wages which will in-turn improved effectiveness and efficiency of workers.
