ADMISSIONS INTO THE COLLEGE OF LAW

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

Interested applicants are hereby invited to fill expression of interest form (EIF) for admission into Bachelor of Law (LL.B) in Common Law and LL.B in Common and Islamic Law (combined) programmes for the 2014/2015 academic session on the 2014/2015 admissions portal of the university website: www.alhikmah.edu.ng

This process is pursuant to the National Universities Commission (NUC) approval of the programmes and anticipated concurrent approval of the Council of Legal Education.

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for admission into any of the programmes, a candidate must meet the criteria set-out hereunder:

ADMISSION INTO LL.B (COMMON LAW) PROGRAMME

Candidates seeking admission into the LL.B. Degree in Common Law must meet the following requirements:

  1. Five ‘O’ Level credit passes in the following subjects: English Language, Literature-in-English and any other three Arts/Social Science subjects and at least a pass grade in mathematics obtained in not more than two sittings.
  2. A pass mark of 180 minimum aggregate in the 2014 UTME entrance examinations in the following subjects combination: English Language, Literature-in-English and any other two Arts/Social Science subjects.

The programme duration is five years for general UTME entry.

There is no Direct Entry admission for this session.

 

ADMISSION INTO LL.B (COMMON AND ISLAMIC LAW) PROGRAMME

Candidates seeking admission into the LL.B. Degree in Common and Islamic Law (combined) must meet the following requirements:

  1. Five ‘O’ Level credit passes in the following subjects: English Language, Arabic Language, Islamic Studies, and any other two Arts/Social Science subjects and at least a pass grade in mathematics obtained in not more than two sittings; OR
  2. Five ‘O’ Level credit passes in the following subjects: English Language, any other four Arts/Social Science subjects and at least a pass grade in mathematics supplemented by O’ Level (Thanawiyyyah) credit passes in Arabic Language and Islamic studies subjects from recognized institution and each obtained in not more than two sittings.
  • A pass mark of 180 minimum aggregate in the 2014 UTME entrance examinations in the following subjects combination: English Language, Arabic Language, Islamic Studies and one other Arts/Social Science subjects.

The programme duration is five years for general UTME entry.

There is no Direct Entry admission for this session.
