About Distance Learning Centre

The idea of distance education was conceived by the Centre for ICT and Distance Learning (CIDL), Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin. Later, The Management of the Distance Learning Programme is currently working towards presenting courses for accreditation to seek National Universities Commission approval. The CIDL is working towards providing a flexible distance learning platform that will be friendly to all categories of learners, irrespective of the economic status. The curriculum content of the Distance Learning is the same as that offered at the face-to-face medium of the Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin. All programme durations (number of years of study) are similar to the face-to-face degree of the University. The medium of instruction is sole off-sight (through technology-enhance platform) and it is designed primarily to suit those in the working class, whose schedules, distance, financial condition and other situations may not permit them to undergo full-time studies at the university.
